Creative Chemistry 102 & a Winner!

Thanks for the nice comments last week. By random draw, I pulled the name Tiffany Antoniewski as the winner of the FREE Scandinavian Wishes Stamp of the Month set. Tiffany, I'll get in touch with you soon. Congrats!

Today is a BIG day because it's Day 1 of Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry 102. You may remember his 101 class in Spring 2012. Well, I graduated from 101 so now I'm able to take 102. You can too. Simply go here and register for either 101 (or 102 if you've already completed 101) and get started. Both are technique-packed courses that you'll be happy you took!

While I can't share Tim's techniques here, I can show you my completed coursework and the names of each technique. I'll be sharing each day all week long. Six tags per day. Whew! It's keeping me busy!

Here are my six tags from today's course. It was all about Distress Paints, which I absolutely love. There's just something in those paints that make them satiny and smooth and allow them to blend beautifully. Now how about a closer look at each one and the techniques we learned.

Tag 1 - Distress Paint Marbling

Tag 2 - Colored Crackle

Tag 3 - Altered Surface

A closer look at the altered metal crown.

Tag 4 - Eroded Metallic
(Took two tries for this one, then I was happy although my lighting kind of blew out the cool effect.)

Tag 5 - Stamping Resist

Tag 6 - Industrial

Thanks for stopping by today. It looks to be a busy week! See you tomorrow.
