Convention & Extravaganza Day

Who knew that something as fun as a scrapbooking Convention could be so supremely exhausting? Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. It's like being a little kid going to Disney and feeling totally wiped out at the end of the day. It's fabulous!

Today was the first official day of our actual Convention where ALL consultants, no matter their leadership level, attended for the first time all together. Imagine this love fest of all things CTMH! Over 1,000 consultants in one room at the same time screaming, squealing, wearing matching t-shirts, funny hair things, and being entertained by the corporate staff as they unveil new products, promotions and improvements in the company. It's awesome! (the photo above is a handful of CTMH Corp. girls doing a "music video" spoof of "Single Ladies" with a few word changes... "all the Scrappin' Ladies"... and it was adorable!)

Here we are, the Flamingo Gals (my personal CTMH team) yesterday with our cute matching shirts that team member Debbie made for us. We couldn't just take one photo and had to get a little silly...

Everyone's having such a good time and I love having so many from my team with me.

Today was jam-packed with a full schedule. Opening General Session is what I've already described above, then lunch, then Extravaganza. This is a four-hour fast-paced, new product/technique presentation. I was selected to be a presenter this year for the first time, and what fun I had! I got to introduce our newest chipboard Ornaments, which I love! The cool part of Extravaganza is you get to wear a microphone, a cute little apron, and stand up on a miniature stage with an rotating audience every 20 minutes. 8 groups rotating to all 8 booths. That means I got to say the same thing 8 times for 20 minutes each. I'll be surprised if I have a voice in the morning. But it was a total blast. All the gals that came through were so kind, so friendly, and so great. I just love this business.

After Extravaganza, I was famished and tired so we all grabbed some dinner nearby, then after feeling a little refreshed went to check out the Top 10 Albums in the album contest. There were some amazing albums with such creative ideas and clever techniques. So inspiring. It was fun, I have to admit, to look at the other albums while secretly listening to and watching people's reactions to my album. Some very nice things were being said and made me feel so good inside. Like I've said, no matter what comes of this contest, I am truly pleased with my album and will be happy to take it home with me when all is said and done.

We have a fun-filled day scheduled tomorrow with create-and-takes with all kinds of great new products. I can't wait to play with all the amazing new stuff and take it home to share with my wonderful customers. Then later in the evening we will attend the Awards Ceremony. I hope to be awake enough by the end of the night to blog the results. One thing's for sure, if it's good news, I'll be here blogging about it no matter how late it is.

  5. I'm so eager to see whether you won but just can't stay up any longer. If all of the people who wish you the best were there with you, we'd have stuffed the ballot box full with votes for your beautiful scrapbook. Good luck!
