So many of you have been so kind in all your comments. I cannot thank you enough for the well wishes. In addition to comments here on my blog, I have received many, many e-mails, texts and phone calls. I truly do appreciate all the nice words. I am honored to have such supportive, loving friends and consultants. Thank you.
I have had a lot of requests to post the pages of my winning album, so here they are. You should know that there were specific guidelines for each layout and the number of layouts we had to submit to qualify. If you can read this first page clearly, you will see the order of my layouts according the to requirements.
Also, if you have the time, try to read the actual journaling. You would think that a family heritage album would be quite boring, but I did my best to take the factual and translate it more into a story of how the family has evolved; how each person's life led them to their spouse, and so on. In case you don't know, you can click on each photo to enlarge it to fill your screen for easier reading and to see details better.
This album not only took 2nd place in the Close To My Heart Corporate vote (earning me an awesome prize of every new stamp set in the new Autumn/Winter Idea Book, over $700 retail), it was also voted 1st place in the Consultant's Choice with a $500 cash prize! This was a huge honor, as I mentioned in my earlier post, since it was a vote from my peers in the CTMH family. Thank you for your votes and your confidence in me. I am truly humbled and grateful.
I will refrain from adding more comments with the photos, but feel free to ask questions if any arise. Thanks for taking the time to look. Have a great day!
What a wonderful album! You are so very deserving to win! I loved your album in 2008 and have followed your blog ever since. I actually did not get a chance to see your album in person in DC because the lines were so long and there always seemed to be a backup-now I know they were taking photos of your album! Thank you so much for posting it here.

ReplyDeleteIf this took 2nd place then the 1st place album must have been something. I can't see why this didn't take first place. I love the way you have all the hidden documents and journaling behind flaps and pull out tags. Great job. Show us more.
