Clear Card Day 2

Since this is going to be a clear card workshop (in August) I have designed the four cards to have the same basic look and feel using rub-ons, black ribbon, buttons, and a similar color scheme.

Day 2's clear card is a scalloped circle and has a little more paper coverage this time. Using my Coluzzle circle template (I'll surely miss this system when my blade goes dull since Provo Craft has dropped the Coluzzle altogether) I cut a few papers and cardstock into circles about 3 3/4 inches in size, then split each across the middle. By the way, all products are from Close To My Heart and are listed at the end of this post.

Rather than gluing the papers to the front of the card, I adhered them to the inside front. This gives the front a nice shiny appearance and more depth. The large stamped flower on the front has been heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then popped up with foam tape for added dimension. And all those tiny buttons were adhered with Liquid Glass. In fact, I used the Liquid Glass on most everything this time.

The Happiness Is... is a rub-on that is straight, but that's the great thing about rub-ons, you can rotate them a little and make them do anything you want. So letter by letter, I just turned the rub-on sheet a bit so it followed the curve of the card. The word Family is also a rub-on.

The edges of the card have been inked with Black Staz-on with a finger-tip sponge dauber.

The background and texture papers are from an older paper pack called Silhouette Creative Basics Collection which is no longer available, BUT the regular Level 1 and Level 2 packs of the Silhouette definitely are and they are just as pretty.
