Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 32 - Frosted Film

Hello and Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! It's another fun Compendium of Curiosities Challenge. We're almost to the end, but it's never too late join us.

The Compendium of Curiosities III Challenge is hosted by our lovely hostess Linda Ledbetter on her blog. Each challenge comes from the wonderful book "A Compendium of Curiosities Vol. III" featuring amazing products and techniques by non-other than Tim Holtz.

Join us with your creation based on the featured technique and your project could win you an awesome prize pack from Tim and Mario and you also have a chance to win the random draw from our generous sponsor this time: The Funkie Junkie Boutique. All the details, rules and links are at the end of my post so be sure to keep reading all the way through.

Okay, back to the challenge. It's called Frosted Film and can be found on page 59 in the book. I created some simple, festive gift bags for friends we'll be spending the 4th of July with.

I used the We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board to create four bags. I pre-cut the Correspondence paper sheets to 6" x 12" before making the small bag on the Punch Board.

Using one of the labels from the Sizzix Thinlets "Labels" set, I cut a window from the front panel of the gift bags.

I stuck a piece of Frosted Film onto a piece of Clearly For Art and adhered these layers inside the die-cut window of the gift bag.

Then I cut some pieces and parts to adorn my bags. I stamped onto a 3/4" punched circle and adhered them to the blue ribbon die-cuts.

Adhered everything to the bags.

Added some waxed twine bows to the ends of my banners.

To keep the gift bags pinched closed, I remembered I had purchased these small clothespins from WalMart over a month ago. Perfect!

I filled each gift bag with red, white and blue wrapped chocolate truffles. How fun is that?

(Only one of the chocolates was consumed during the making of this project.)

I love functional, easy projects like this, don't you? I hope you join in the Frosted Film fun.
Here are all the details below.
