Typography His & Hers Cards & my Graphic 45 Loot!

I often get asked if, as a Graphic 45 Design Team member, if I get "paid." My answer? Well, take a look at this first...

This is my 7-foot dining room table. Upon the table are the contents in my design team box of goodies from Graphic 45 I received yesterday.

Let's take a closer look...

You may have noticed some goodies from Spellbinders, Xyron, Petaloo and Gina Designs as well as all the amazing Graphic 45 stuff. These generous companies also contribute to our team so that we may include them in our projects and participate in partnerships and blog hops throughout the year. I can't even tell you how badly I'm itching to create with all this stuff!

If only I didn't have to waste time sleeping at night.

So, you crafters out there can probably do the math, if your calculator will allow you to go that high, and figure out the dollar value of this box of goods. Then you can answer the question, do I get paid? My answer is YES!

I got right to it with the new Typography collection. It was sort of like stretching before a workout. (and I mean that in a good way.) With my hubby's birthday coming and my friend Patty's right around the corner, I decided to make two cards with Typography. One masculine and one more feminine, just to show the versatility of this wonderful paper.

And just for fun, I put together this quickie little video tutorial on how these cards came together.

And just in case I went to fast for you, here are those measures again...

My card base is the dark green from the Core-dinations Signature Series cardstock pack and measures 5 x 7 inches when folded. For the papers above, I edge-distressed and then ink-distressed the edges. I like to use Walnut Stain ink by Tim Holtz/Ranger.

The golden yellow is also from the Signature Series cardtsock. I used my border punch on the striped paper.

These strips are cut 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch, then notched and inked. I used a type charm and brad plus a stamped heart for an embellishment.

A few of the cut-aparts plus a chipboard sentiment piece from Typography Chipboard 1.

(Then you can view the video again for assembly.)

For the feminine card, here are the measures.

The doily die I used here is from PaperTreyInk. The two pieces on the right are chipboard and the Friendship sentiment is a cut-apart from the paper collection.

This little ruffle ribbon is from Stampin' Up in Baked Brown Sugar. I love this stuff and use it on everything!

(For assembly, please view the video again.)

I hope you enjoyed an intro look at the wonderful new Typography papers. I am totally in LOVE!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great HUMP DAY!
