Graphic 45 Sympathy & Baby Shower Cards

Hello! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I've got a quick post today, as I'm running out the door to make cards with friends today and I thought I'd share two cards that I've made recently.

The first one is a 5 x 7 inch card on dark brown card stock. This is my card to teach my friends today. Graphic 45 A Ladies' Diary papers made it very easy to make this pretty card. The sentiment "Heartfelt Wishes" is from Close To My Heart and the Mason Jar stamp is from... well, I don't know. I got it at Stamp Fest last summer and for some reason the package has no identification in it. 

The rosette ribbon is from Close To My Heart. I simply use Super Thick Tacky Glue to adhere it.

The flowers were fussy cut from the Moment in Time page in the collection, then I popped the unit with foam tape.

I stamped the mason jar image with Coffee archival ink (Ranger) onto Specialty Stamping Paper (also Ranger). Once it was dry, I used my water brush and two inks from Close To My Heart to color it in: Juniper and Twilight.

I've been trying to dress up the insides of my cards more. A few strips is all you need and the inside becomes very pretty.

Here's another card I made for my friend Patty who needed some baby shower invitations made. I did the design, cut all the parts, and she assembled them all and mailed them out. The baby image and little postage stamp are from Graphic 45's Little Darlings collection, but since the theme of the baby shower included greens and purples, I had to use some different papers for the rest of the card. I got these at my local Hobby Lobby.

It's a standard A2 size easel card and folds flat to fit in an envelope for mailing.

This is the little hidden area when you pull open the card to prop up the easel. I cut the letters from Tim Holtz's Wordplay die.

This was a good opportunity to use up some retired flowers and brads from Close To My Heart.

Martha Stewart Crafts butterfly punch is one of my favorites. A soft green button with string finishes off the card. You may have noticed both cards have the large postage stamp frame as a background element. That's from Tim Holtz as well. Love it!
