Got my Mojo back

It's been a while since I participated in the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, and I was feeling the need to get back to it this week. Here's sketch $#177...

And here's what I came up with today...

Be sure to check out the Mojo Monday blog to see all the great works of art posted there. It's so much fun to see all the different ideas from this one simple sketch. Very inspirational!

As for my card, I used all Close To My Heart products and have a list of those items at the end of this post. There's lots of embossing with black powder in this card, along with lots of cutting and layering.

This flower for example has been stamped & embossed twice. Once onto Hollyhock cardstock and once onto Baby Pink cardstock. The Baby Pink one has been cut out, colored in a little with a Hollyhock marker, and then I curled up the petals a bit. (Notice I inked the back side of those curled petals with Hollyhock ink.) The center flower is cut from the Hollyhock base. I cut it out earlier so I could save paper and then popped it on top.

Don't you love that pom-pom ribbon? I sure do! I added a criss-cross of black staples to the accent piece, then popped up the whole thing with foam tape. The sentiment has been stamped and embossed with black so it really stands out over that background stamping.

Talk about making good use of a stamp set, I used every single stamp in this set for this card. It's become one of my new favorites from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.

Here's a list of the supplies used to make this card, all from Close To My Heart:

• C1437  Happy Moments stamp set
• Black, Hollyhock, Baby Pink & White Daisy cardstock
• X7134B Sweetheart paper pack
• Hollyhock and Blush stamp pads & markers
• Z1384 Pink Collection designer ribbon
• Z1335 Licorice Opaques adhesive gems (black)
• Z1009 Pivot Point Stapler
• Z670 Black Embossing Powder
• Z891 Versamark Ink Pad

To purchase theses items, see your CTMH consultant or shop with me here.
