Leadership Day at Convention
Second day here at Convention for me, and technically Convention itself hasn't officially begun until tomorrow morning. Today was Leadership Day for those of us who are at the Manager level and above. It was a full day: first registration, then a general session, then informative and fun business classes.
At registration, we all receive our name badges for the week, plus adhesive colored ribbon bars to attach to the name badge. These colored ribbons signify different accomplishments such as earning our PhD from the CTMH Training Academy, being an Extravaganza presenter (more on that tomorrow) and in my case, a beautiful purple ribbon that reads: "Album Contest Top Ten."
That means my album I submitted has been selected in the top ten and will now go on the display table tomorrow for all the consultants to see and cast their votes for the Consultants Choice. Meanwhile, Close to my Heart corporate staff has already selected the 3rd, 2nd and 1st place winners which will be revealed on Friday evening. I may have already mentioned that 3rd Place receives every new embellishment in the upcoming Autumn/Winter Idea Book, 2nd Place wins every new stamp set, and 1st Place wins every new EVERYTHING! I'll be checking out the competition tomorrow afternoon to see what I'm up against. There are so many talented, creative ladies in this company. It's going to be tough!
After dinner, we had our team meetings and took some fun photos. I still need to get a copy of the Flamingo Gals (my personal team) all piled on the couch. For now, this is the Legacy Leaders group which I belong to. (from Orlando) Then back to our room with the Flamingo Gals for a gift exchange and a little relaxation before saying goodnight. Tomorrow is the big first day of Convention and I'm really excited for my new consultants. They are in for a treat! For now, that's it for me. Time for bed. But before I go, here's a photo of our hotel room door...
